Non-Surgical Rejuvenation (BOTOX® , Fillers & Peels)

Non-surgical facial rejuvenation reduces the visible signs of aging of the face and neck with injectables and peels. Non-surgical rejuvenation offers a way to reduce the signs of aging with treatments that require minimal downtime using techniques that are minimally invasive.

What can non-surgical rejuvenation treat?

Non-surgical rejuvenation can be tailored to your needs. It can improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck, resulting in a more youthful, healthy appearance.
Non-surgical rejuvenation is best at addressing such problems as:
• Fine lines and wrinkles on the forehead, mouth, or cheeks
• Deep creases or wrinkles around the mouth and lips
• Crow's feet

The rejuvenation procedures selected with you will depend on your specific needs. Many patients benefit from customized set of products that best address their specific problem areas.

Is non-surgical rejuvenation right for me?

Choosing non-surgical rejuvenation is something you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else's desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. Non-surgical rejuvenation is a good option for you if:
• You would not like to alter your facial appearance but would like your face to appear younger and refreshed.
• You prefer a non-surgical approach to rejuvenation and understand the results will last for under a year (depending on the method used)
• You are physically healthy
• You have a positive outlook and specific, but realistic, goals in mind for the improvement of your appearance.

What happens during non-surgical rejuvenation?

Non-surgical rejuvenation can be achieved through a number of modalities. The best option for you will depend on your needs and your goals.

BOTOX®
Botox® is a purified chemical that relaxes the muscles that cause wrinkles, giving the skin a smooth, rejuvenated appearance. Some of the common areas treated by Botox include crow's feet, frown and laugh lines, and forehead wrinkles. Treatments take about 15 minutes and little or no anesthesia is needed. Botox is injected with a fine needle into the affected muscles. It generally takes three to seven days to take full effect. Each Botox treatment lasts up to three months and can be repeated as necessary (with continued injections the effects might last longer).

Fillers (Juvederm)
Injectable fillers are substances which are injected beneath the skin to fill in hollows, folds, and wrinkles of the face. Restylane, Juvederm and Radiesse are just a few of the many fillers available. Most injectable fillers provide temporary results lasting anywhere from 6-12 months.

Chemical Peels
Chemical peels improve the skin's appearance by peeling away the damaged top layers, revealing smoother, more youthful skin. In addition, chemicals can be used to eliminate or improve wrinkles, mild scarring, certain types of acne, sunspots, age spots, freckles, and splotching. During chemical peels, a chemical solution is spread over small areas of the skin that causes it to blister and peel off, regenerating new skin that is smoother and less wrinkled.

Non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures require minimal downtime. After BOTOX® and fillers, there may be some swelling and bruising around the injection site that will resolve within a few days. After a chemical peel, your skin will appear slightly red and some flaking may occur. The effects similar to those of a mild sunburn and could last for a few days.
