What to Expect.

We believe that consultations are a forum for both the patient and surgeon to gather and communicate information to each other. We’ve designed the patient consultation experience around what we would like in a visit to a Charlotte cosmetic surgeon - and we’re pretty picky. We like seeing the doctor quickly, not feeling pressured by sales tactics, being able to reach our doctor if we’re worried or just have a question, and, of course, we expect friendly office staff.

A Few Things You Should Know

Your consultation journey begins

in our comfortable patient lounge – an inviting, yet chic atmosphere. Whether it is just you or your significant other (who are always welcome), you will be greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable Director of Patient Experiences, Jan Stanbro. Jan isn’t going to have you fill out pages of paperwork, but rather welcome you to the practice.

Our Patient Concierge (whom you most likely previously spoken to on the phone) will come escort you to our consultation room, where you will meet with Dr. Ditesheim. If you are seeing us about an issue regarding your body, such as for Liposuction, Tummy Tuck, Breast Augmentation, Breast Lift, Breast Reduction, Secondary Breast Augmentation, Mommy Makeover or Male Gynecomastia surgery we will ask you to change into a robe so we can examine you effectively. If you are seeing us for information about procedures on your face, such as Facelift, Eyelift, Dr. Ditesheim’s Signature Volumetric Facial Shaping, Rhinoplasty, Botox®, Restylane®, Juvederm™ other nonsurgical facial rejuvenation there is of course no need to change your clothes.

Meeting with Dr. Ditesheim.

Dr. Ditesheim will discuss your desires and motivations for cosmetic surgery. He will examine you and discuss how cosmetic surgery can help you to address your specific goals. During your examination you will be seen by Dr. Ditesheim along with our very knowledgeable, caring and friendly Registered Nurse, Michele Laws. We do not use non-physician "consultants," as in many plastic surgery practices. We believe you should have your questions answered directly by the plastic surgeon who will be performing your surgery. At Ditesheim Cosmetic Surgery, you will be examined only by Dr. Ditesheim and the same caring medical professionals who will be with you from your first consultation to the operating room and throughout your recovery and aftercare.

Next you will meet back up with our Patient Concierge who will then discuss all the phases of your surgery including the period before the procedure, the details of the surgery scheduling, and the recovery. She will also address the timing of your post-procedure visits to our cosmetic surgery center. She will also review the investment figures of the surgery and financing options.

Your full consultation will take about one hour overall, but can take longer if needed. We find that by being this thorough during your consultation we are best able to help you meet your goals for cosmetic surgery.

We charge a $85.00 fee for our consultation and we reserve the appointment time with a credit card #.

No Question Unanswered.

Dr. Ditesheim and his team will answer all of your questions in detail. However, with the extent of information you will receive during the consultation, you may have questions that arise after you after you have left the office. We encourage you to call back with any lingering or new questions.
