I’m finally comfortable having my picture taken!
I had recently turned 40 and had known that I wanted this surgery for about 15 years. I remember when I was in my 20s I thought I wouldn’t care about my appearance anymore by the time I was in my 40s. I was so wrong.
About six months prior to my initial consultation with Dr. Ditesheim, I had consulted with a surgeon in Pittsburgh. I had seen this surgeon for about 2 years for Botox® and fillers but I just did not feel comfortable enough after the consultation to proceed with the surgery. I felt like when I found the “right” surgeon, I would know.
The consultation I had with Dr. Ditesheim was so different than the one I had before. Dr. Ditesheim handed me a mirror and asked me to tell him what I felt was wrong and how I wanted it to look. He spent a lot of time with me I really felt like he was developing a blueprint just for my procedure- I never felt like my procedure would be an “out-of-the-box nose job”. I knew he was taking the time and care necessary to understand me and make sure the procedure would be right for me.
After having this surgery, I feel more confident than I have ever felt. I’m comfortable in my own skin- and that’s the most important part. This procedure softened my look, but didn’t change my appearance. I’m still me, only better!
