Skin Care Evaluation
During a skin care evaluation at Ditesheim Cosmetic Surgery, the aesthetician will thoroughly evaluate your skin and customize a program that is best suited for your skin type — whether it is a specific treatment or a combination of treatments designed to meet your skin care goals. An explanation of expected results and number of recommended treatments will be given during this time.
Chemical Peels
Patients often wonder if a chemical peel is right for them. That depends on what kind of a change you are looking for in your skin. Chemical peels help to slough off dead skin cells caused by damage. Most cellular damage is caused by the sun and free radicals. Different chemical peels can target different types of skin care concerns. One of the most common is Discoloration, the look of brown spots on the skin. Acne and wrinkles can also benefit from these procedures. During your consultation our Aesthetician will recommend the right series of treatments for your skin type and price range.
Dermaplaining
This is one of our most popular treatments. Are you looking for an effective yet painless procedure well this is it. Dermaplaning removes Vellus hair also known as “peach fuzz” and will also remove all the dead skin cells on the face. This is a wonderful treatment not only because of how smooth and soft the face feels, but the increase in benefits from home care products that you will receive. Think of this treatment as cleaning a dirty window. Once you have cleaned the window products that you are using at home will penetrate a lot better. This is a wonderful treatment for all skin types including sensitive patients.
Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion is another treatment to help exfoliate dead skin cells and minimize fine lines and wrinkles by using crystals and a vacuum hand piece. This treatment is accompanied by a Hydrating mask, Vitamin C serum and Sunscreen. Following treatment your skin will have a beautiful glow along with a smooth and soft feeling. Microderm is recommended for most patients. Most patients perform their treatments in a series and then follow with monthly maintenance, due to repeat environmental damage.
