Am I a candidate for the AquaShape procedure?
You are a candidate for the AquaShape procedure if you are healthy but have stubborn fat that won’t go away with diet and exercise. It might be “love handles,” male breasts or belly for men, or “muffin-top,” tummy, arms, or thighs for women. The secret is that AquaShape is really all about shaping, not weight loss.

Do I need anesthesia?
You can have the AquaShape procedure without general, sedation, or IV anesthesia. Of course, if you shape several areas at the same time or don’t want to be awake, you can choose sedation anesthesia, administered under the professional care of our board-certified anesthesiologist.

Is AquaShape different from traditional liposuction methods?
During the AquaShape procedure, your unwanted fatty areas will be gently flushed away. By gently removing the fat, AquaShape avoids the aggressive and traumatic actions of traditional and power-assisted liposuction. This means significantly less bruising and swelling, with lower medical risk and virtually no downtime.

How long is the recovery period after AquaShape?
Your recovery depends on many factors; including how much fat is removed and what parts of your body are treated. In most cases, your downtime is minimal (plan to take off 1-2 days). Since you don’t need anesthesia for small areas, you may be able to go directly to lunch after the procedure. For men, back to work next day or in two days is the norm, with pain medicine needed for 1-3 days.

How much does AquaShape cost?
Because nothing is more important than your safety, all AquaShape procedures are performed in our private, AAAASF-accredited operating suite. You will be attended to by our highly experienced surgical team, each with 16 years experience in plastic surgery. That means that the nurse that you talk to at the consultation will be at your side for each step of your experience. The cost depends on your areas of frustration and your body. To help you with planning, if you wanted a flatter lower tummy and didn’t want or need anesthesia, the AquaShape procedure would cost $4500 (inclusive of all fees). With financing, monthly outlay would be $95 over 60 months (*CareCredit financing).
