Some men are genetically programmed to develop a deeply-creased brow and sagging forehead muscles as they age. As the forehead skin loses elasticity and gravity does its work, the skin and tissue become lax and sag, creating heavy brows and droopy lids.
A brow lift is a surgical procedure to resolve these issues by creating a smooth, unlined brow structure – taking years off your facial appearance.
In your earlier years, your brows sit above the bony rim of the eye socket, giving a vital, youthful look. As the skin and tissue starts to sag and crease, the outer area of the brows sinks lower, causing saggy eyelids and an older, tired appearance. It is not uncommon for our male patients to be unhappy with the look of a heavy, stern, overhanging brow and to come to us for a strategy to restore a more youthful look to the face.
The most important aspect of a brow lift is the hands of the surgeon who performs your procedure. You want to restore a more youthful look – but not be left looking unnatural or with a “surprised” appearance. We are known for our ability to produce natural-looking results and can help you avoid the risk of a surgical procedure that is overdone.

Many men in their 40s and 50s, or older, are good candidates for a brow lift.
This procedure addresses the upper part of the face and can resolve the following:
A brow lift is often the most effective procedure for men who want to rejuvenate the eyes and upper face. Your eyes are one of your most engaging and appealing features, but as less and less of the eyes are revealed as skin and tissue on the brow sinks, it adds years to a man’s facial appearance. If you want to present a more vital, youthful look, a brow lift may be the appropriate procedure.
Sagging brows, hooded eyes, excess fat and tissue creating a heavy, overhanging brow, or creases and wrinkles make you look older. Why not take advantage of the advanced surgical techniques of Dr. Ditesheim and restore a more vital, masculine appearance? The results last for years, and our plastic surgeon is known for his ability to create remarkably natural-looking results for male patients. The work environment is competitive – why not gain an advantage?
When planning your custom surgery, we can advise you about aftercare, but typically patients require at least one week to ten days off work. Those who work in very physically demanding jobs will need longer, as no vigorous activity should be performed until the area has healed. It is normal for the treated zone to have some bruising and swelling in the early stages of recovery.
Your brow will be covered with a tight pressure dressing for a few days. Any discomfort is easily controlled with prescription painkillers, and typically subsides within a few days. It will require about four weeks before the full results are revealed – a definitively younger look!
